Does this apply to woods and driver as well?
Best explanation of a powerful consistent swing
I love Pete Cowan. Heβs like General Zod and Superman.!!
Brilliant video, hard to watch and understand Pete sometimes, but worth the attention payment. The technique is obviously, awesome powerful simple consistently repeatable. Well done Danny, with your persistence and learning skills – you have earned my subscribe!

Very informative lesson . I will save this one for sure. Great instructional video. Thank you Sir
Hi Danny, thanks for your lesson so much. Besides, does it have any tool to practice the right arm technique at home my self.
Thanks!
Good video but if you're having difficulty can you imagine someone with a lot less skills. I will try it at the range. Thank you again.
He really doesn't want to give too much without knowing where the time he has is going to be used efficiently. What a cool video to capture some of his masterful principles of the golf swing. A proper golf master instructor!
Iβm 48 and very athletic but cannot turn my body like that. Iβm hitting my 6 iron 7 iron 8 iron all the Same distance and makes me wanna quit golf altogether
Possibly the most important point in this entire video – 28.37 – Spin it down IN FRONT OF YOU. I get this now! You really have to open up and feel like the club is coming back on the inside after impact. Keeping my left arm tight to my body after impact really helps me to achieve this.
This is GOLD!!! Thank you!
Pete is such a solid instructor. What a dream it would be to have one lesson from him.
More than phantastic. I watched the Video at least 30 Times in Order to get always Another. New Information which I did not realized Before. I will Definitely Continue with This Swing.
Something is missing about the whole forearm pressure thing. π

No fluff, right into it = perfect! Had to stop this after only 6 minutes – mind is full with enough to work on. Will finish the rest later… Thanks Danny.
28:10 Pete finally clarifies what he means exactly by "spin the right arm down". He means "turn it down into you", which then Danny finally understands. A great lesson for all teachers, whether on the course or elsewhere – words matter. Don't assume people understand your references. Sometimes we need to walk people through step by step with specific language for people to fully grasp what we mean. #golfisfun
As a beginner I was struggling with the swing and ball impact. It was frustrating and made me sad. Today I just want to thank you for this technique that fixed my swing. As a beginner 1 month of golf I can see the ball fly 170 yards with a 7 iron. It was a dream to be able to swing and play golf and because of you both I can make it. Thank you thank you thank you
I watch this video every time before a range session. The swing feels so simple with these motions. I have switched from my driver swing to this. It works but is a bit more of a penetrating flight which eliminated my draws that turned into hooks sometimes. I played in the north Texas 27 mph wind a week ago and the wind was not an issue in dispersion.
Hi Danny,
Will this swing work with fairway woods?

This style of swing is hard on your back and hip.
DziΔkujemy.
I think when he says "spinning" it confuses people. He's not spinning it, but it makes a lot of sense and is very effective. It has helped my swing! Thanks.
The coach is so intense but practical
Thanks for this video Danny, an absolute gem. This really helps in understanding how with quite little effort you can gain great ball striking. Will definitely try to use this in my practice π
Brilliant! This is the EXACT part of the golf swing- that's i find the most troublesome..Thank you! Hit down and compress the ball…absolutely brilliant instruction.
As a tennis guy, I love the technical detail of golf swing coaching which is often missing in tennis. The absolute winner of this one for me is the notion of guiding the rotation with your back hip and the rest of the body just following. I think this is 100% transferrable to tennis and will let you generate a lot more "oomph" in your forehand.
